NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION

NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION
If your child is new to Edmonton Public Schools, you can register for school online. Visit the Division website to learn how to register for school.
If you have questions about registering, contact the school office.
CURRENT DIVISION STUDENTS PRE-ENROL
You will need to pre-enrol on SchoolZone to tell us the school you’d like your child to attend next year. Find important dates and deadlines and learn more about pre-enrolment, which opens at 8 a.m. on February 2.
Open House & Information Sessions
Kindergarten
Our Kindergarten Open House will be held on Thursday, February 5th, 2026 from 5 - 6 pm. Come learn about our school and how we can support your child as they begin their learning journey! We will begin with a formal presentation at 5 pm.
Cogito
Our Cogito Program is expanding to include Grade 5 in the 2026-2027 school year!
Come to our Open House on Thursday, February 5th, 2026 to tour our school and learn more about our Cogito program! We will begin with an information session at 6 pm.
GRADES 1 - 5 NEW REGISTRATIONS: New registrants interested in the Cogito Program can be asked to provide a copy of their latest Progress Report and complete a questionnaire. School Administration can use this to engage parents in a conversation about the child’s readiness for the expectations and demands of the program. Levels of achievement are not used as the sole determining factor for the child’s readiness for the program.
CONFIRMING REGISTRATION SUBMISSIONS
Once you have submitted your completed student registration form and supporting documents, we will review all of the documents. This does not mean your child has been enrolled at the school—we will contact you to let you know once your child is enrolled.
We will contact you if we need clarification about any of the documents you submit.
FULL IN PLANNED CLASSES
For the 2025- 2026 school year, Lansdowne School is full in planned classes from Kindergarten to Grade 6 in the regular program AND Kindergarten to Grade 4 in the Cogito program. We will no longer be accepting students in the Cogito program. For the regular program, a Kindergarten resident student who resides in our designated attendance area may still register. For Grades 1 to 6 in the regular program, we will only accept resident students whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have newly moved into the school’s attendance area. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.
If you are registering for Kindergarten or are new to Edmonton Public Schools, you must register online.
