KINDERGARTEN COGITO 'MEETINGS FOR SUCCESS':
If you have completed the digital registration for the Cogito program, you will need to bring your child to school for a "meeting for success."

The meetings for success will provide us with information to discuss your child's readiness for the expectations and demands of the program.  These meetings will occur on Thursday, March 7th, 2024 and Thursday, March 21st, 2024 at 2:30 p.m.  More information will be provided.  Parents and students must arrive at 2:15 p.m.  School Administration will use the evidence and observations collected during the ‘Meeting for Success’ to engage parents in a conversation about the child’s readiness for the expectations and demands of the program. These meetings are an important way to connect with our new families and students, and this connection is vital to student success in the Cogito program.

GRADES 1 - 3 NEW REGISTRATIONS:    New registrants interested in the Cogito Program can be asked to provide a copy of their latest Progress Report. School Administration can use this to engage parents in a conversation about the child’s readiness for the expectations and demands of the program. Levels of achievement are not used as the sole determining factor for the child’s readiness for the program.

Pre-enrolment

Pre-enrol in SchoolZone

Get ready for the 2024-2025 school year! Sign in to your parent SchoolZone account between February 1st and March 22nd, 2024 by 4 pm to select your child’s preferred school for next year.

Whether your child is staying at the same school or changing schools, all students need to pre-enrol. Knowing how many students to expect helps schools prepare to welcome them in September.

If you need assistance please contact the school.

Moved?
Update your child’s current address with the school office before pre-enrolling in SchoolZone.

New to the Division? Instead of using SchoolZone, students who are new to Edmonton Public Schools need to submit a completed Student Registration form. Find the form and list of supporting documents you need to provide.

CONFIRMING REGISTRATION SUBMISSIONS

Once you have submitted your completed student registration form and supporting documents, we will review all of the documents. This does not mean your child has been enrolled at the school—we will contact you to let you know once your child is enrolled.

We will contact you if we need clarification about any of the documents you submit.

Full in Planned Classes

For the 2024 - 2025 school year, Lansdowne School is full in planned classes from Kindergarten to Grade 6 in the regular program AND Kindergarten to Grade 3 in the Cogito program. We will no longer be accepting students in the Cogito program. For the regular program, a Kindergarten student who is a resident and lives in the school's attendance area may still register. For Grades 1 to 6 in the regular program, we will only accept resident students whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have newly moved into the school’s attendance area. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.

If you are registering for Kindergarten or are new to Edmonton Public Schools, you must register online.
